It's the off-season and we are waiting for the pre-season games to starts. While we wait, we have brought the guys together at the Grits Blitz roundtable so pull up a chair and listen to what we have to say and feel free to chime in with your answers as well. So far we have talked about position battles, the games we are most looking forward to and who will be the most improved player for the Falcons in 2012. Today, we talk about which offensive player will benefit the most from the hire of Dirk Koetter.
This guy will be calling the shots
Matt: Matt Ryan. The front office has been saying Dirk Koetter will implement a more pass friendly offense, and we may finally see Ryan take that step forward into elite category. The Falcons may finally spread out a defense with the four-verticals, allowing Ryan to give a balanced distribution in a more balanced offense.
Zach: Without a doubt in my mind I can say that Harry Douglas will benefit the most from the coordinator change. He was only on the field for 52.8% of the snaps in 2011. That is a extremely low amount for your starting slot receiver. Expect Douglas to thrive in Dirk Koetter's system as he'll get on the field more and should see more open looks.
Kevin: I hate to be a broken record but I'm going to say Jacquizz Rodgers. The biggest reason is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and be a dual threat and I think that will get him more reps and more chances to make places.
